Default Hello from Ontario!

Good day all,

I am new to the forum but sadly not to weight loss programs.
My weight has been yo-yoing for a while and now at my highest weight I am looking to stop that once and for all!
The past two years have been a joyous time of depression and anxiety and my weight gain has been a huge contributing factor to both - so I want to put an end to one piece of the puzzle and hopefully ease the other two!

Also, in an effort to improve my health and trim the waistline, I am banishing the booze! Today marks day one of an alcohol free life!

Welcome to the boards! There is a wealth of info and help around here. Do you have a particular plan you are following aside from cutting alcohol? (You're a better woman than I...I like my beer and wine too much)

There are a ton of forums on here based on diet type, exercise, age, weight, and interests. Have fun exploring!

Also +1 for Ontario. I love to visit there (in summer).

I don't have a formal plan per say... Most days I am quite active (whether walking my two dogs 5+ miles, running long runs on weekends, and/or strength training) but for the past few years my eating habits have really turned to junk (especially during the evening)

I'm working on just keeping my calories to under 2000 or so, with good nutritious foods. My hopes are that when my diet is more regulated (and not wasting calories on booze) cutting a couple of hundred daily should be easier.

Summers here are certainly better than the winters - although in comparison to the rest of the country the winter here has been great! C:
