Hi everyone! I am new here but not new to the weight loss journey. I have Rheumatoid Arthritis and it hasn't been well managed since I was diagnosed 3 years ago and that has contributed to my weight. For the last almost 2 years it was very out of control and I couldn't afford to see a Rheumatologist and general care practitioners didn't want to help so I was very sedentary because even just getting out of bed was extremely painful. I finally have a good DR but I have been on prednisone for at least 6 months and it has definitely packed on the pounds. I have finally found a good medicine that works and will allow me to do some exercise and my prednisone is down to 5mg a day, hoping to get off of it completely here in the next month or so. I plan on swimming 6 days a week and doing some light pilates during the week as well. I am also going to be eating clean, no processed carbs or foods, no soda or any of that junk! I just got done with my measurements and "before" picture, needless to say I am disgusted with how bad things have gotten but I'll just use that as fuel to keep on pushing.
