Hey there!
My name is Katy (second name Daisy...). I'm 22, currently in my 4th year of medical school. I'm 5'6'' or 169cm and at the moment I weigh about 238 lbs or 108kg.
I've always, even as a child, thought of myself as fat. Looking back, I wasn't fat, but it gradually became a self-fulfilling prophecy and when I became a vegetarian and started secondary school I started packing on the pounds.
I realize now that the time I stopped eating meat and my meals mostly consisted of carbs I also started gaining weight.
One diet after the other, I want to make this a lifestyle.
There have been a lot of changes since I first joined this forum in 2011, changes I needed to go through. Most importantly I finally got treatment for my depression. There are still days when I just want to stay in bed all day but I've definitely improved.
Also, I'm in the process of getting rid of a lot of sentimental clutter. I know this needs to be as much a mental change as it needs to be a physical one.
Well, that's me. As the title suggests I'd love to make some friends along the way. I've also got KiK
