Endorphins have nothing to do with food. But there is some connection between these types of foods and the dopamine system.
But a lot of us here think we are addicted to this or that type of food.
Anyway what i want to say to help you is if you can put aside the foods that cause you problem and try to make your diet full of healthy foods such as fruit and vegetables, proteins and what we like to call "good fats" there will be less room in your tummy and desire in your body for the foods that cause us problems.
I have quit sweets. But there are times when i try to start a diet that i can't do it. If you are in that phase, then that's difficult.
But i hope you are in the phase where you are ready to commit to healthy eating.
One idea that works for me is to think about what i'm eating on my diet in terms of this is the sort of food i plan to eat for the rest of my life. And because of that i have to make sure i like it but also i have to make sure that almost all of it is good quality nutritious food.
You might like to have a look at my blog food diary in the link below to see how i've gone about my diet which i've been on since beginning of january.
And you may see how i deal with stress and other problems because i think these things matter a lot too.
When you have time there is very useful and relevant information on a site called nutrition wonderland that will help you understand those feelings of food addiction. And given that understanding you may feel more committed to minimising those foods more successfully in your diet.
If your knowledge of nutrition is limited, you would do well to learn about it. I would recommend getting an actual book on nutrition from the library. A book on nutrition as opposed to a diet book because those books either have a very biased account or very general and limited detail.
