Default Hello Everyone! :)

Hi Everyone!

I discovered these forums a few weeks ago and have been doing some lurking & decided to join. I am currently a member of 2 fitness forums but none really have a focus on weight/fat loss. I really need that to help me be accountable.

A little about me - I'm in my mid 20s, live in Washington state, work full time, live with BF but no kids (except furbabies). I'm 5'5. I weight about 168-170 lbs. (haven't weighed myself in a while). I'm hoping to not only lose fat but also change my lifestyle - I want to exercise more and do advanced workout videos at home and I also want to make healthier food choices. The eating philosophies that interest me are Clean Eating, Paleo, Low-Carb.

Anyway, just wanted to say hello to everyone! Hope to make some great friends here!

Default Right with ya!

Hey, I am new also very similar story. Turned 30 and I have let myself go, live with my BF and furbabies. I am 5 days into the protein sparing modified fast diet which I am being monitored by a doctor and nutritionist. Its been rough but I already see results. I love protein so that's been good but I am not good at taking my vitamins or working out. I am joining a zumba group starting March 3.

Hey Stephie! Glad to see another newbie w/ a similar story. I am not very good at taking vitamins either. I feel your pain!! Workouts I am so-so on but I could be much, much better!!

The protein sparing modified fast - I think I have read an e-book on that type of diet. It is called Rapid Fat Loss by Lyle McDonald. He is a bodybuilder/physique athlete type. Have you read his e-book? It actually had some pretty good (read: simple) recipes in there, if you are needing ideas, you could check it out. Good luck to you!! I hope to see you around the boards a lot
