Default Looking for a friend/support!

Hi! I am new here. I just need a friend. Someone that I can come to and talk and that knows where I'm coming from. I'm 32, bout to be 33 in a few weeks. I am very overweight! I have to do something! I have been overweight since I was way young. I have 2 children, 13 yr old daughter and a 10 yr old son, who are in sports at school. I want to be around to watch them finish growing up! I have a husband of soon to be 14 yrs also. I need help deciding on which diet to go on....and some food options. I always eat the same things over and over and eventually get tired of that! Someone just please help me figure out what would be best for me to do. I'm tired of not being able to do anything and my back hurting all the time! Thanks!

HI there! I am also starting out new. I've always been pretty proactive with dieting and maintaining some sort of control...very good at goal oriented approaches... like a wedding! lol. the thought of being the fat one, terrifies me. Yet over the last few years, my knees have not been so kind, 2 surgeries and I'm yo' yo ing my weight all over the place. Just hit my 14 year anniversary yesterday, and I also have 2 kids. 10yr and 7 yr old. I've always been a fan of the Power of 10 diet and workout, yet...I am such a baby these days with soda. I NEED IT. I WANT IT. and I don't feel like I'm a couch potato...so why can't I HAVE IT. ugh. For the most part, I am not a bad eater, I just eat A LOT. Hoping to find some support out here to lose some weight while we are deployed in Germany.

Hi BeautifulAngel and Betterway247! You'll find lots of support here! BeautifulAngel, be sure to check out the Diet Central section. All kinds of weight loss plans are discussed there and hopefully you'll find one that looks like it could be a good fit for you. Sometimes you have to experiment a little to find the right one, but once you do, you will be so happy with your results! Betterway247, can you do the weight loss plan you like and keep your soda in limited amounts? Maybe just have one a day? I've found that if you can modify a diet to work for you, you'll stick to it longer, and if it's a lifestyle plan that you intend to follow indefinitely, making it work for you is vital. Welcome to 3FC! You will find lots of support from members here. I know I have! Explore the boards- there are threads on different diets, exercise and even threads specifically for people your age.
