Default The Dreaded Scales

Hello All,
I am new to this site, so I apologize if I am not posting in the correct location of the site. I have started this blog to act as a catharsis, while I start my diet journey. Warning it may get ugly!!

It is the first day of my weight loss journey, and while I was writing out my meal plan for the next week I was feeling pretty good, and excited about the journey that lay ahead! It came time to jump on the scales to determine my starting point. Now as a short, chunky person I tend to avoid scales at all costs!!! Well, any form of weight measurement including trying clothes on. In hindsight I wish I jumped on the scales about two months ago, because wholly sh*t 153 was staring back at me!!!

I feel deflated, and in shock that I have put on 33 pounds. On the other hand, very determined to get the weight off. It will be a struggle let me tell you, because I have come to love food!

I plan to get on the dread scales on Monday and Next Friday. The hope is to lose four pounds by Jan 17, 2014.

Hi Sugar! I have a sweet tooth too, so I feel for you! I didn't think I could do it, lose weight and keep it off, and in fact put it off because I also love food, but I found the perfect diet for me (one with a built-in cheat day each week) and I think that's the key! If you find the plan that works best for you, you'll be able to stick to it and lose the weight! You can do this! Browse around the forums and jump right in! You'll find lots of support! Good luck!
