Newbie with a loooong way to go

  • Hi all!

    I'm new here. I'm a 30 year old mum of 2 wonderful kiddos. I have put on a lot of weight over the last few years and am very unhappy about it so I'm here to do something about it!

    I don't know where to start on these forums (other than here as is obvious) so hoping some of you lovely people might be able to direct me.

    I live in UK, weigh 202lbs and would love to get back to my lowest weight eventually (115lb) For now though I'm going for 140. I find challenged are great for me when it comes to motivation so would like to join in with some of those on here.

    I really need to be looking and feeling good this summer so it starts right now

    There are lots of other challenges in that section of the forum and elsewhere. Look around, I'm sure you'll find something that appeals to you.

  • Hi HEmum! Just start by browsing around the threads, see which threads appeal to you, note which forums and threads (by date and number of posts) seem to be active. The Weight Loss Support forum is great if you have questions about weight loss in general, the Diet Central section for specific diet questions, and the Fitness section for exercise questions. Under Support Groups, you'll see the 30-Somethings chat group. They are quite active I believe. All the forums and threads welcome newbies. Don't feel like you are crashing a party or anything, lol! People here are so nice and supportive and encouraging! GardenerJoy linked you to the 2 challenges she and I are involved in and we'd love to have you join us! But also, as she mentioned, there are other good challenges there which may interest you. Good luck!
