Well here I am!
My name is Ava, I'm 24, and starting this journey at 162 lbs. While that isn't a particularly high number, I'm only about 5 feet tall so I definitely am carrying some extra weight.
I'll tell you what, I'm on a mission to not only change my weight, but to change my life. I want to be the person that I always envisioned myself being; fit, adventurous, strong, and whole.
Like many, I've struggled lately. Chronic stress, insomnia, and general malaise. The past few months I've just been trying to deal with where I am, and fully realize that I'm not who I want to be. Now I am finally in the mindset to tackle it.
I'm currently on the second week of the C25K program which I am loving. Also, I've been working really hard to find a good balance between working out and a healthy diet. No gimmicks, no pills for me. Just good old hard work.
I guess my first big goal is to get down to 130; a healthy weight for my height. I remember weighing that much in high school...if only I'd appreciated it more.
Anyways...enough for now! Can't wait to meet many of you and start crushing my goals!
