and so it begins.... again

  • Hello all. This is my second 'weight loss community' and I hope this community will help me with my second part of the journey. I started my 'weight loss journey' at my heaviest 80 kg in 2010. It took me three years to lose 10 kg. I am happy to report that I've managed to maintain the loss . Now at 70 kg I need to lose 10% of that weight and I really hope it won't take me another 3 years to lose 7 kg . So wish me luck and good luck to all of you. May we all reach our goals in life
  • Welcome and good luck in your journey!
  • thank you...

  • Day 1
I couldn't stop munching . My weakness is 'fried flour' i.e stuff made from white flour and deep fried them... sighhhh. Anyways these were today's menu that made my fat cells dancing with joy.

    Late breakfast - 2 hardboiled eggs + yellow onions + yellow mustard + mayonnaise + nescafe + goat milk/dates/honey.

Lunch n tea - 'fried flour' stuff and cookies

Dinner - Beef & vegetables soup

These are the things I forced upon myself... 1 hour of walking in my living room and 2 liters of plain water.

I didn't take any sugar with my morning coffee but with the cookies I consumed... aiyaiyai.
  • Thank you Jacqui D.
  • Oh Phase, now, you are going have to get a handle on those white flour fried foods and cookies. The sooner you get them out of your house and out of your body, the sooner you will start losing weight again. Or, do like I do, have a cheat day or a cheat meal no more than once a week, when you can eat such foods to satisfy your craving, but then you must go straight back to your good diet, no "if's," "and's" or "but's." If you think a cheat day or meal would trigger you to go off your diet though, don't try it, but if you think it might work for you, it's a good alternative because you can survive 6 days if you know you can cheat without guilt on the 7th day.
  • Hi Jacqui_D... I heed your advice. Kept the lovely cookies out of sight... out of sight out of mind .
  • Day 2
Today I didn't do what I planned to do ... didn't exercise... didn't drink 2 liters of water... didn't prepare my own lunch and did what I didn't planned to do... eat take-out food... drank iced sugar cane juice - 'soooo good in this hot weather' but I managed to keep away from the COOOOKIEEESSS

This time around I'm going to focus on few things:-

    Exercise - walking 10 000 steps a day.
Drink - 2 liters of water.
Sleep - hit the sack by 12 midnight... yes I am an owl.
Coffee with goat's milk and honey.

Has anyone tried honey + cinnamon? Does it help?
  • You know what I like? You are posting! You're letting people know what you're doing, and that means you are being accountable and that's a great start! And good job staying away from the cookies! Sometimes you just have to take it one step at a time.
  • Welcome, and good luck!
  • Thank you fairandfree and Jacqui_D . I appreciate all your comments. It does feel good when others notice my ramblings .
