Default New to the site...

Sadly not new to WW. I'm trying to get back on the program again. Even though in the past I've had no trouble following the plan on my own this time around I'm finding it harder to stick with and figured it was time to find a support site...I thought I'd give this place a shot.

Little bit about me. I'm 35, married for 12 years and I have a wonderful 12 year old daughter. I've been on WW off and on since 2003. I never had any weight issues until after the birth of my daughter. I started at my highest weight of 175 and managed to get down to 118 and kept it off for a couple of years. After that I slowly stopped watching my points, new stresses came about that packed the pounds back on. Now here I am at 152 +/- a few lbs. I am following the old WW program because after a year of WW points plus I actually gained 10 lbs. I'm going back to something I know worked great for me in the past. I'm just tired of thinking I have this kicked only to gain the weight back after a few years. I'm tired of buying fat clothes when I have a whole closet full of clothes I can't wear.

So I hope being on here will keep me accountable and lose this weight once and for all. I look forward to chatting with everyone

Welcome back, and good luck! I was mostly just counting calories when I first started... this time... and some days I still do just to see what I'm eating vs what the WW points are saying. I'm doing the old way too, because that's worked for me the first time I lost weight - the old tried and true method, as they say.

As I said before, good luck! You CAN do this!

Hi Shamrocker! You are going to love this site. You will get so much support here! And with your experience at weight loss and maintenance, you'll be able to help others too. Browse around and jump right in! Some threads are more active than others but post in any you like. Be sure to check out the WW forum under Diet Central. Also the threads in Chicks Up for Challenge under Support Groups are great for helping you to stay motivated and accountable! Good luck!
