Smile Hoping to make some friends and get some good tips

Hey everyone.
My name is Shelby and I just turned 20 this summer. This time last year I was about 180lbs, but since I started University and stuff I've gone all the way up to 200lbs.

I've always had a weight issue, I've usually been the biggest one in my group of friends, it's frustrating and I'm ready to really change it.

I've always had a hard time dealing with motivation and sticking to something so I'm hoping that being on a site like this will give me some good tips, friends, and motivation.

I've also kind of fallen into a depressive state within the past couple months, having such a hard time sleeping and I hopefully this site will help me start with motivation to lose weight which will hopefully help with motivation with everything else.

Hi Shelby! You'll find lots of support here, and yes it's a great place to help keep you accountable and motivated! There are lots of threads to read, so browse around, and join in. Posting always helps because it gets you involved. Some threads are more active than others, but you are welcome in any of them. Some that might interest you are the "20-somethings" under Support Groups, and you might want to check out the "Depression and Weight Issues" forum since you've been feeling down for a few months. Also, take a look at "Chicks Up for a Challenge" under Support Groups. The threads there are always hopping. Good luck! You can do this!

Thank you so much. This is totally what I'm feeling.
I've got tons of skinny fit friends and they just don't understand it. I'm glad to finally meet people who know how I'm feeling. It feels really good.
