hiii Newbie

  • Hi my name.is jillian , I am 27 years old and was searching the internet for a great support system and I found you guys this lovely group.... I have recently decided to start my weight loss journey.... I am currently two hundred and twenty pounds and my goal weight 145 pounds..... I will begin my journey September 1st by quit smoking...... I will also start a five day detox Sept 1st and on September 5th I will start the eat clean diet..... I will also be joining a gym and start weight training! my goal is to lose 70 pounds by May of 2014......

    I truly hope to gain wonderful friends and support systems here as well as be very encouraging and supportive to all the other members that I can only hope to build friendship and relationship


  • Hello Jillian! You will definitely find a lot of great support here, whether you need answers to questions or just morale support! I started my weight loss journey a pound heavier than yourself (221lbs) and I'm an inch taller, so we are very close in size!

    It sounds like you have a great plan in mind with some time between all the changes, so it shouldn't get too overwhelming. A quote I love to share (and I found it here on 3FC) is "if you stumble while climbing up a mountain, are you just going to throw yourself off? No, you're going to adjust and keep climbing." Essentially it means that if you do make a mistake, don't beat yourself up over it! Just make your next choice something back on track, and you will be successful!
