Starting again hopefully for the last time!
I have been on diets all my life. Usually the diet is paired with a new relationship with a healthy, super athletic man who takes me to the gym with him everyday. Of course I am going to lose weight when I have someone "training" me and I eat the same way they do! But what happens when the relationship ends and I am left to my own devices? About 30-50lbs is what happens!
I have been a single mom for 8 years and between work, house, homeschooling and just life I have not had time for any serious relationships. I also have put myself last for so long my weight has ballooned up to almost 400lbs and that terrifies me. I am turning 40 in a month and want to celebrate my birthday knowing that I am doing something just for me. I want to start this chapter putting me first!
I am starting the Paleo diet today. I have tried them all and I know see that if the diet affords me the option to pretend to not be on a diet (cake, cookies, candy, pizza), I run with it! I cant stop at one slice of pizza, sorry! So, I needed something that just has me going cold turkey. Only healthy lean food. I am hoping to start to see food and just fuel and not something to plan my day around!
If there are any threads/forums for the Paleo diet, I am looking for a support group that I can stay in touch with and remain accountable to during the process.
