Wink I.P. and marinated meats don't dance

Hello. I am new to this site and non-tech savvy, so hopefully this will work. What does not work I am finding is my current Ideal Protein diet and eating marinated pork for protein. My weight loss last week was 1.2 (week 4) despite copious amounts of water (fins developing as we speak) and the only thing I can figure is causing issues is that twice in the past week my protein has consisted of a pre-packaged marinated pork roast. While it works well to feed a family and I love it, no doubt I love it because it is "sweet"! Perhaps I should have recalled that meat is not normally sweet tasting unless you add stuff to it. Sheesh, I am dusting myself off and learning that lesson but handing over big money to have lost only 1.2 pounds has irked me....now I am getting down to business.

In the first four weeks of my weight loss, I lost 0 weight. I rise and fall during the month and it happened that I ended the month having lost 0-1 pound. After that, my weight dropped and I lost 10lbs the next month. Now I consistently lose 5lbs per month. But that's me!

I think that your marinated pork is a good 'once a week' or 'sometimes' food to have. Have you thought about making your own marinade that has good sugars in it and then freezing the excess? Believe it or not, it takes a lot of practice and trial and error to lose weight. Also, your body needs time to adjust and give your metabolism a kick start.

Give your diet plan another month or two and post in the forum for advice. If you aren't happy at any stage, take a look at the diet plans on the forum and see if something else looks better for you.
