I've been lurking for a while and decided to jump in and start participating. Thank you all for the wonderful support and sharing you offer to others, this is truly a wonderful site.
I'm 42, and in mid-November decided it was time to change my life and take better care of myself. I started the Ideal Protein program but it was making me feel sick every day so switched to Atkins after a month. I started walking a few weeks ago and signed up for a 10k training program for a local 10k walk coming in May.
I'm down 28 pounds and the scale was below 200 this morning for the first time in over five years. Whoot!
