Ready to go for it!

  • Hey everyone!

    First off I would like to introduce myself. I am 24 years and an undergraduate student living with my boyfriend of 4 years. I believe that adopting a healthy lifestyle is the missing puzzle in my life and I'm ready to make some changes. I've always been overweight as far back as I can remember and after so many attempts at losing weight I hope this can be my last one where I might also learn to maintain it. I remember signing on here but never actually posting anything but this time around I will try to make use of the great support system you guys have here. It's truly inspiring to read the weight loss journeys on here and someday (not too far from now) I hope to post a before and after picture and inspire someone else. I think that's it for now also if any of you know of a great diet plan to get started I would love to hear about it.

    Personally I am calorie counting, there are so many free apps out there that make tracking your food a cinch (I use MyNetDiary, I love it) And I have been adding little bits of exercise as I go. Bought a cheap, used elliptical from Kijiji and have been trying to get on that at least 5 days a week. I have lost 12 lbs since Jan 1st. It can be tough, but coming here and hearing everyone else battling similar struggles keeps me grounded and moving forward.
