Welcome to the site - I only joined a couple weeks ago and only really started the whole weight loss fitness thing again PROPERLY on monday there - and I can say so far this site has helped keep me motivated.
I hope you find some decent forums and get posting away - its nice to help each other through it.
Have you tried My Fitness Buddy app ? its fantastic and lets you log what you eat thus helping you not go over the limit - which is set for you as an individual.
Its working so far for me - only a wee idea.
