Hello!
another new girl saying hello- this seems like a really great community, and I'm hoping it can help keep me on track to knock out and keep off at least 35 pounds between now and August.
About me- I'm a tall gal who used to be very active as a teenage swimmer, but I'm hopelessly uncoordinated at any sport that happens outside the water. Eventually I traded swimming for music performance, which doesn't quite burn the calories the way a good workout does, even though it takes the same amount of time to stay in good performance shape. After college and a few years in the real world, I plan to head back to grad school in the fall, likely in a different city than the one I live in now, and before I do, I'd love to lose the weight I've put on since my swimming days and be a new person to those who meet me there.
I'm generally pretty good at maintaining somewhere around 170 (the holidays and grad apps put me above that currently, oops), but I have trouble getting the last 20 off. Here's hoping this time's the charm!
