Default Time to go for it . . .

Hello there, wherever you may be. I'm not great at typed introductions, come to think of it, I'm not that great at them in person either. Might as well skip the small stuff and get right to it.
I'm 31, have two kids, aged 5 and 2, and have struggled with my weight my whole life. Until my second pregnancy I was never obese, but by my last OB appt I weighed 255. I lost some weight after my son's arrival, but soon found myself at 245 pounds again. I suppose I should mention that I have ongoing dysthymia. Over the last 18 months I got down to 175 pounds, on my own with diet and exercise. In the last few months I have quit smoking and gained some weight, this morning my trusty scale said 199. The thought of seeing a 2-- number on my scale was too much too handle, so today was the day I decided I had to get back on it.
I didn't start my food journal, I figured one final day of eating what I love (hey the salami and aged cheddar in the fridge was too good to waste) wouldn't hurt in the grand scheme. I did start the Insanity workout program, Day 1 Fitness Test sure felt like a real workout, we'll see how tomorrow goes.
I have been lurking for a few weeks, I knew that the creep was happening. I'm happy to have joined, I look forward to sharing our experiences =)

How frustrating to see that scale go up and down so much, and heaven forbid you have to see the 200's again!! That would have scared me shitless too (to get down so far and then realize the 2's might creep back in)! I hope we can all help eachother to loose this stupid weight

Good luck to you! I too have struggled with my weight for my whole life. Hopefully this forum will be a source of support for both of us!

How's INSANITY going?? I too have made the commitment to start the program on Monday (2/4) since I'm currently doing P90 now. I just feel that it isn't challenging me enough ... there is nothing that I'm 'dying' from doing. I work up a nice sweat, get my heart rate up a bit, and that's it.

I want to feel like I'm busting the fat off my body and drenched in a pool of my own sweat to show how hard I've worked!! I like that sore feeling the next day ... to show that I've pushed it to the max. Let me feel that the hour 'm putting into changing myself is truly worth it!!

Well, that's me. Perhaps a bit INSANE myself. I'm not competitive with others, but I sure am with myself. I'm always looking for something that makes me think, "uh-oh, I can't do this" ... just so I can complete it and say "ah, I just did it".

Would love to hear how it's going!!
