Default New to diets and weight loss!
Hi all
My name is Evelyn, 28 and I am from NB Canada. I am just starting my weight loss journey this week and my choice is ViSalus. I have heard good/bad reviews but figure I need to try it for myself and see how it goes. I have never tried to take the weight off before, as it has only been the past few years I have really been overweight. It started from birth control (depo) and between quitting smoking and the loss of my second born, the stress/depression has been all over the place. I am an emotional eater and my portions are a big issue. My OH is planning on joining the military and I want some weight off before he goes, and want it almost ALL off when he comes home. I owe it to myself, my kids and my OH to be healthy and love myself!

I should also say my start weight is 235lbs, my current weight is 235lbs and my goal weight is to be around 160 again, but my first goal is under 200!

Welcome! I have heard mixed reviews about ViSalus as well. I have never tried it but give it a shot and see how it goes! You will find lots of support here! Good luck on your journey

Thanks!! I hope it works, and helps me through the day. The shakes I think will be easier for me to do where I am busy and work all afternoon, evenings are going to be my trouble times!

I have been learning that meal planning goes a long way. I TRY to plan what I am going to make for dinner the night before. Fortunately my BF is pretty easy going and will eat whatever I made, regardless of how healthy it is lol. Anything that you can prepare in advance will help too! I am just trying to get a plan together of a whole bunch of meals I can make and keep in the freezer for busy days. Thaw and toss in the slowcooker or dutch oven. No muss no Fuss!
