I'm here. Let's do this.
Hello all! I stumbled across this community awhile ago and decided to join. I have never been thin, but also have never been this heavy for an extended period of time. At only 5 feet tall (really, no inches), every pound I gain is noticeable. I have no desire to get back to my high school weight of 112, but I want to break into the healthy weight range for my height and stay there! That's my ultimate goal, I've done it before, and I know I can do it again.
I've done Weight Watchers several times successfully in the past, but honestly it encourages me to not eat real food and I always gain the weight back. I mean, really, one cannot live off off 1 pt turkey hot dogs. So, this time around I'm determined to figure out how to eat like a normal person, lose weight, keep it off, and not constantly think about food.
I'm a SAHM to a 2 year old little boy and my husband is a Naval Officer. Deployment is looming and it will be the first one with a child. So, for any other military spouses out there, you know what that means - it's deployment diet time! I'm going to try cutting out some carbs, but I have hypothyroidism (well under control and medicated) so my plan is to stick in the 100-150 range and see how things go from there. I also use LoseIt! to track my food and recently got the FitBit One.
Anyway, sorry for the long intro! I look forward to being more active in this community.
