Hello, I am new here. My name is ashley.

Well, recently I went to get my blood pressure checked and the doctor said I have to lose weight. I've also been trying to lose weight for a long time but recently (before now) I've given up. I'm at the biggest I've ever been in my life and I am in the mood to lose it all. This seems like a great place with nice people and much motivation. I am very shy so I rarely join things like forums but this will be much of an exception.

Welcome, Ashley!!! This is an excellent site; the people here have been so motivating and supporting. Before I found this site, I've tried literally countless times over the years to lose weight, and everytime I'd give up a few weeks in and gain all of it back plus another 20lbs. I ended up hitting my high this year of 232 and finally decided that I couldn't do another year like this. I found this site in October just a week or so into my journey and have been going strong since. This is the longest time I've ever stuck to a plan. I'm excited for you starting now; just think, by this time next year you'll be completely anew!! Check out some of our challenges threads; they've been instrumental in keeping me on track. Hi and welcome. Im new here too. I have high blood pressure from being over weight I got it when I was 28 the doc said if I lost weight it would go away so im keeping my fingers crossed that it will. I hate relying on a pill

I'm new here too. I'm also quite shy but I seem to have no problem chatting away because it's online and everyone I've talked too is lovely. I love reading the goal thread to see everyone who's done so well, it really keeps me in the "healthy is better" mindset
