I'm Sarah and I've been a lurker here for some tim. I'm on a low carb diet for a few months now and found a lot of good info here.
Why did I start a low carb diet? I was on the edge of metabolic syndrome and I felt nothing was more sad and degrading and pathetic but eating oneself to sickness and into an early grave.
So I read books and all I could find in the web - and found that everything I thought I knew about healthful nutrition was totally wrong.
And I made the change. Successfully, as I have already dropped 65 lbs in five months and are still going strong.
