New & looking for support
 
Hi everyone -

This is the first time I've ever joined a site like this, but I figure that one of the best ways for me to reach my goal is to have support around me (whether it's in real life or just online).

I'm not at all at a good weight for myself, but I'm a very strong person because I've always active in some way. I think my biggest problems are not drinking enough water, not eating properly (weird foods or skipping meals), and just not exercising as much as I'd like. Finally, and most important to me, I don't have enough motivation. Oddly enough I want NOTHING MORE than to be healthier, but I just can't seem to take the steps past 1 week.

My favourite exercise is the ERG (rowing) machine since I can't get back on the water as of late, walking, and aerobics of any kind.

I hope I meet some new friends here and gain some well need motivation!

Welcome! 3FC is a great place to help you get started on your weight loss journey! There is lots of support here and great info, I am sure you will be pleased. Getting started is the hardest part in fitness! Any time you feel discouraged just remember how wonderful you will feel once the number on the scale starts to go down. The number 1 helper for me was downloading a calorie counting app. and log everything you eat and log your workouts. I personally use Lose It but there are many apps out there. Best of luck to you! WELCOME!!! :cb::cb: Good to have you on board! I agree with you as in getting support. Its one of the hardest and I believe most necessary things needed to start a weight loss journey. And I give you kudos for liking the rowing machine. I've been dying to try one but every gym I've had the pleasure of joining has sadden me by no rowing machines >.<.
