I turned 48 years old on the 8th, and im still huge. That was the real corker for me. If i would have done something about my weight two years ago when i first started thinking about it, i would probably be maintaining by now.. but hindsight is 20/20.
I feel like i am a ticking time bomb. 48, obese(actually super morbidly obese), i smoke cigs, and i have a completely sedentary lifestyle. I have been pretty lucky as far as my health so far. no diabetes, all liver panels etc are good as well as colesterol. I know i need to lose the weight tho before it starts really affecting my health.
My plan is to count calories and start walking. The sad part is i live across the street from a track and havnt taken advantage of it. The more sedentary i have become, the more lazy i have become. i have a bad back so i wont be able to do the more extreme exercises, but i know walking is really good for you and who knows how my back will be once i lose some weight.
I would like to join both Calorie Counters and 300 plus club as that is where i have been lurking the most and feel i will fit in the best.
thanks for taking the time to read this... i look forward to getting to know you all and getting healthy together
