Yes! I'm starting over (again)!

  • Why, oh, why is losing weight so hard?
    Oh, well, it has to be done. I'm about 60 pounds over what I'd like to weigh.
    I need to get in shape for myself and my family. I'm looking to lose at least 20 pounds by Christmas if not more.
    I'm going to calorie count and use portion control. I've already eliminated junk food and sweetened drinks. I know I overeat and need to realize that even those healthy foods have calories!
    I'm also walking 4-5 miles about 5 times each week. At my last doctor's visit my blood pressure was high, and she suggested walking. So for 2 weeks, I was very faithful, and when I went back for a blood pressure check she was impressed with how improved it was. I'll be keeping that up as well as adding some additional exercises.
    I'll be looking into challenges to keep myself on track. I really want to succeed this year.
