Talking New to the Forum and very excited. Excited to meet others on the Journey

Hey everyone,

I am so excited to be here. I am ready to take control of my life. I am about 40 lbs overweight and I am finding it to be very difficult to get off. When I was a child I was very obese and in my early 20s became very fit and trim. Over the past 8-9 years weight has slowly creeped back on and I am struggling to get it off. I have been losing at a snail pace and because of that I get so discouraged and fee like I want to give up.

I would love to meet other people striving to get healthier.. I am sure we can help motivate each other and reach our goals better!

If you got fit once, you can do it again! Even if it is slower this time! Same here, last time I lost the weight it was a lot faster I think, plateaud much later in the game, but you gotta take it the way to comes... if it is slowly, it is still better than not at all!

I'm trying to lose about 25 lbs permanently! I've definitely been more fit and more trim before and would love to look forward to not ever having to say that again.

I started a cookie diet yesterday that went pretty well...although I need to eat a cookie now. Also I did a weight training video today. I'm a little nervous about how sore I'm going to be tomorrow. I tried not to overdo it, but I'm sooooo out of shape!

Are you on a particular diet or exercise program?
