Default Delurking to say hello

Hi everyone,

My name is Elisabeth and I've been looking around 3FC for about two weeks now and I've finally decided to introduce myself. I'm a 21 year-old part-time college student with a full-time retail job, which means every day I'm either at work or at school. Sadly, while I've never been particularly fit, I've definitely let myself go and am the biggest I've ever been. I've decided it's time to get back into shape and comfortable in my own body again. I know it's going to be hard with my schedule and my lack of self-control, but I'm hoping I can overcome these things and persevere.

I've seen how supportive everyone is in this community and I can't wait to get to know you all. I'm hoping this community will be good motivation for me to stay on track, as I normally only last for a week or so before giving in to temptation.

Thanks for listening,
Elisabeth

Hey,
it is harder to get work outs and so in when you are very busy, but it is totally possible. I work 6 days a week at the moment (and coach on the 7th day), and I still manage, but of course there are days when the voice in my head goes like "no way, I worked 10 hours, my head is buzzing, all I want is my bed"... but I try to ignore her and I have never regretted that!

I also gained weight when I started college, went from exercising daily (often several hours) to just socialising non stop. Plus college type food is not exactly healthy. Then I lost all that weight, despite working and studying, so it is totally doable. Hard, but doable!

I wish you the very best, Mila

Hello and welcome! I know what you mean about it being hard to fit in working out with a busy schedule. With my commute, I am gone nearly 12 hours a day so it really takes commitment and "just doing it" to work in the exercise. But it can be done if we are determined enough!

I understand the working & college predicament.. as I am going through the same thing right now. I feel like when I gather enough motivation to start getting fit/eating better, I cannot resist temptations after a few weeks.

Hopefully we can be an encouragement to each other and that the community here helps keep us accountable!
