Hi Y'all. Looking for accountability buddies!

  • So here is a brief rundown on me. I'm in my late 30s and SO VERY tired of being overweight. I have the best of intentions and plans. I even have some great ideas and thoughts. But, I can't ever translate anything into an actual routine or actually stick to healthy eating.

    I'm glad I found this site. I'm looking for advice, tips, and mostly some people who would like to be accountability buddies.

    Do you have any ideas about what weight loss plan you will use? I'm basically counting calories but I'm eating mostly what is on the old weight watcher's core plan.

    I started one step at a time. I started with my food changes and now have started to incorporate exercise. My exercise consists of walking my dog in the evenings. I just want to get where I'm doing that every day and then I want to start the C25K plan.

    I don't have any particular eating plan in mind but there is a beginning running program that I want to start tomorrow. It will have me walk/running 3 times a week.

    I also want to try drinking a gallon of water a day. I don't drink enough water.

    I'm also trying to cut out the sweets that I normally pile in.

    I have seen that there is a lot of info here. There is a lot to sort through.

    I've found technology to be my best friend lately. I highly suggest buying a heart rate monitor (a watch/chest strap, there are relatively inexpensive ones that are great) and using it in your workouts. This will give you an accurate idea of calories burned and you can literally see your heart getting healthier! Great motivation!
