Unhappy New & Lost

Hello All,

I am new to this forum. Just a little background about myself. I am a 36 year old female, fighting the biggest battle of my life, obesity.
I have always been overweight but my weight really ballooned up in 2007 after the loss of my youngest brother (who was my best friend) to a reckless driver.
In October of 2010 I began my weight loss journey. I joined Weight Watchers and had little success. In February of 2011 I joined the local TOPS chapter. I lost 38lbs and increased my fitness substantially.
But life got in the way. In May of 2011 I quit exercising and going to meetings. In 6 short months I gained back the 38lbs plus 10 more.
So here I sit. Heavier then ever. And I thought last year I had it all figured, and now for the life of me, I can't get back into the weight loss/fitness mode. I want to lose weight, I want to be thin and healthy, but I can't seem to make the changes to do so.
Anyone else having a hard time finding the motivation? I really don't know what to do anymore and I'm reaching out to all of you for help.
Cheers to everyone, and I look forward to continuing this journey with all of you!!!

Welcome to the forum! I am so very sorry about your loss. My heart goes out to you.
Start making small changes and goals for youself. For example, drink only water, diet soda, unsweetened ice tea. Then next week add in eating only healthy snacks, fruit or veggies. Then add in a small aoumnt of exercise, parking further away, taking the stairs, taking a short walk.
All these small changes will add up and your motivation will push you to add in more.
You can do it! We all fall down and have to pick ourselves back up. Your brother is smiling down on you and cheering you on.

Welcome to the forum! The goals met & mini goals section are very motivating, may help you decide what do to, but NE mom said it best!
