Default New here & a plateau question...

Hey, my name is Wes. I'm a 23 year old professional female. I'm on a diet (of course) and from time to time I need some advice. I also have a lot of knowledge about nutrition and dieting (not my first rodeo!) So feel free to ask me any questions, and hopefully I can help.

I've dropped two BMI points since I started this diet- really excited to get going and reach my goal. However- recently I hit a roadblock. I've kept my calories (1000-1200 a day) and exercise the same (1.5 hours a day walking on treadmill at highest incline) but I'm not losing weight. My skinn-ier clothes feel better, and my friends ask if I've lost weight. The scale hasn't budged for the last two weeks. I have IBS, so I think that may have something to do with it. Is it constipation, muscle or my metabolism going kaput? Any advice?

Are you eating the same stuff everyday and working out the same as well? Sometimes your body gets used to the routine. Consider shaking up your metabolism a bit... Increase your calories for two days, only by 3-400 calories, or add weight training if u don't already. I was stuck for 3-1/2 weeks at the same number and tried this, and it really did work. Good luck, don't give up!

Thanks, that's very helpful. I've considered starting weight training again... I am always intimidated by the muscly guys who "know what they are doing" over on the training benches... haha.
Thanks for the advice and lovely to meet you.
