Just wanted to say hi to everyone I've been reading this forum for a long time but have never signed up or posted.

I've been overweight all my life (I'm 20), and have tried to diet before, but have never succeeded in losing all my excess weight. I recently found out that I may have PCOS and have been told by my doctor to lose weight as the most important part of treatment. I don't have anyone I can talk to about my weight loss efforts or PCOS, so I decided to join this forum to get some support alongside my weight loss efforts.

Emotional binge eating is a huge problem for me (my problems to lose weight have really been with my head, not my body!) so I'm planning to check out the Chicks in Control thread.

Florallover, welcome, glad to have you join us. I suggest you look for a Challenge or Support group to join; small check-in groups make it easier to connect, get involved, and be accountable. We have groups centering around specific diet plans, themes, or age groups, so find one that inspires you and just post to join! Also be sure to check out Dieting with Obstacles for PCOS and the 20-somethings if you haven't already.
