Hi! I'm in the middle of my getting healthy journey and new to the forums.
I have lost 30lbs very slowly over the last five years (with gains in that time too) and have recently decided to lead a more active role in my life by doing what I can to get fit AND healthy. I'm really looking to drop my body fat % (currently 36% according to my crappy at home scales) and gain muscle.
Hoping to gain some support at the forums, I'm an Aussie girl living in America and haven't found too many IRL friends. I find support is something I lack and could definitely benefit from.

Hi! I'm new to the forums today, too. Actually, I'm new to 'dieting', for that matter. It seems we have similar goals in the weight loss area. I don't know what my body fat % is, and I think I'm scared to find out! I am sure, though, that I could benefit by losing some of it.

Good luck with your goals..I am sure you'll get there! And I believe there will be lots of support here to help keep you going.

GetFit, welcome, glad to have you join us. I suggest you look for a Challenge or Support group to join; small check-in groups make it easier to connect, get involved, and be accountable. We have groups centering around specific diets, themes, or age groups, find one that inspires you and just post to join! Be sure to check out the Aussie chicks thread.
