Hello Everyone.
I am so excited to find this site. My name is Brandee and I am a happily married to a wonderful man and we have a fiesty 8 year old daughter (the Diva). I have done diet after diet after diet and am still 100lbs overweight. I have been heavy all my life it seems but in the last few years it has gotten worse and that is mainly because of my love of food and hatred of activity.

That is all about to change!!!! The wake up call came this year when my daughters girl scout troop decied that this years trip will be to an amusement park. Me and my hubby were discussing this and he looked over at me and said..."Wow I hope we can fit on the rides." that did it. We are shapping up and thats that. We are not going to deprive out daughter of activiites just because we're fat. So we have started to eat better and I have started a ZUMBA class two days a week. I am starting to see some results. I have lost 5lbs in the last week.

I am so excited right now but I'm sure that that will cool just like last time so I am excited to find this site and to meet all of you to help me along the way.

Brandee, welcome, glad to have you join us. I suggest you look for a Challenge or Support group to join; small check-in groups make it easier to connect, get involved, and be accountable. We have groups centering around specific diets plans, themes, or age groups, so find one that inspires you and just post to join!

Hi there!

I can TOTALLY relate to the amusement park worries about fitting on the rides. I had the same thing happen to me when we took a family trip to DisneyWorld.

When the excitement wears down some, there are PLENTY of people here to support you and help you build it right back up!

Good for you! I think it's neat when a husband and wife can do it together. I've got an athletic hubby, so he doesn't really understand the struggles I go through in this area. However, we're both really putting a focus on healthy, natural foods and less processed ingredients. We want to be a healthier family all around.

Great job on your weight loss so far. Keep it up!
