Default Hello!

Hi,
My name is Krista & I just joined. I started with Weight Watchers on Jan 3rd & am just starting my journey. I have about 38 pds to lose to be where I want to be. I am 46 years old, married with a 10 year old boy. I am in Taekwondo for exercise.
I did WW a long time ago & lost a bit, but have never stuck with it and never had the exercise program to complement it. Now that I have been in Taekwondo for almost 2 years, I feel that I can add the dieting in & possibly lose the weight! With TKD, I've gained muscle, but have not lost any weight. I have however, maintained my current weight (up & down by about 10 pds) since I had my son, so I must be doing something right in that aspect.
My biggest weakness is my sweet cravings. MUST STAY AWAY FROM THE CANDY JAR!

Welcome Krista, my name is Kimberly and I'm also 46 and married with one grown son and two young step-children. And I'm fairly new here myself...only been here about a week. I have about 45 pds to lose, but at the least 30. I'm now doing 25 minutes a day on the treadmill, and my eating is so/so...sometimes good, sometimes not as good. Food is my toughest problem. I've thought about doing Weight Watchers, but I can't really afford it, plus I figured I probably wouldn't stick with it, plus I have to fix a "regular" ....fat and all...dinner for my hubby who absolutely does not want to eat healthy. So I can't really cook and afford to eat one way, while buying different foods and cooking another way for my hubby. I also find it hard to afford to eat healthy. And not to mention, I'm not very innovative or creative in the kitchen. I'm just trying to do the best I can.

Sounds like you've got a great start to losing weight, with the taekwondo and weight watchers....just stick with it and have consistancy and you'll do great!

Krista, welcome, glad to have you join us. I suggest you look for a Challenge or Support group to join; small check-in groups make it easier to connect, get involved, and be accountable. We have groups centering around specific diets, themes, or age groups, find one that inspires you and just post to join! Be sure to check out the 40-somethings and the WeightWatchers sub-forums!
