Talking Hello hello hello!

My name is Sara and I'm a 24 recent college graduate getting ready to apply for graduate school.

I have struggled with my weight for most of my life, but over the past three months I have begun to exercise and I love it. I never knew I could enjoy jogging! I've been doing strength training as well.

I recently joined a small gym with my SO. I have only lost 5-7 lbs. so far but I can tell a huge difference in my body. I believe I have gained quite a bit of muscle but I'm not sure how much. I have lost almost 2 pants sizes and I can tell my arms, legs, and face look much thinner. It seems like I am losing weight more quickly in those places then my waist and hips.

Still, I feel really good about my progress, and signed up on this forum in hopes that ya'lls encouragement could help me speed up this process!! I recently signed up for fitday.com as well so I can keep track of my eating better.

Sara, welcome, glad to have you join us. I suggest you look for a Challenge or Support group to join; small check-in groups make it easier to connect, get involved, and be accountable. We have groups centering around specific diets, themes, or age groups, find one that inspires you and just post to join! Be sure to check out the 20-somethigs and the Exercise forum

Hi Sara!! I think it sounds awesome that you're toning and losing inches! I always debate whether I want to tone first and lose later or lose now and then tone. Doing both just doesn't seem to work out, haha. I definitely say to check around, find some fitness groups. This site seems to have everything you could possibly need!!
