Hi everyone!
I'm brand new here to 3fatchicks, about a week into my diet. Unlike most of you I have never dieted before. I weigh around 210 right now and would ideally like to get down to 140 or 130 (I'm 5'3"), though I know I have a long way to go.
I have two main questions as of right now that I'm hoping someone can help with! First off, I'm 18 and a freshman at a small Ivy League school... as you can imagine, I don't have too much extra time on my hands. The dieting part seems to be fine, but even with good time management its hard to exercise more than a half hour daily. Also, given my height and weight, I'm a little confused as to where I should begin in terms of calories. I have been eating 1200 calories a day, but I hear this may not be enough for someone my size. Additionally, I am working out on either the elliptical or treadmill for 20-30 minutes a day.
