Thumbs up Hello

Hi Everyone!

I'm Jennifer, from Southern California. I'm 29 years old.

I'm on my second week and I've lost 2 lbs and I'm down to 309 from 311.

The heaviest I remember being was 330 about a year or so ago. So, at least I came down from that. I cannot wait to be out of these 300s. Hopefully I'll be out by the end of this month.

Can't wait to get to know people and join the 300 + club.

I'm going to be hitting the age of 30 in March, and nothing would please me more to be about 50 lbs down by then to start the next decade of my life.

I kind of feel like I wasted my 20s by being so unhealthy and I really want to start being healthy, active and just very well rounded.

It's been VERY hard. Especially with Halloween right here. I bought 3 bags of candy and not ONE kid showed up. So now I have all this candy in my house. Should I throw it out? Give it away? Ughhh.... As my username says, I have such a weakness for sweets.

Hi Jennifer! Welcome!! I am on the same boat as you, just starting off and have 2 children who collected this hefty basket of candy...Honestly, I display the candy in a basket on my counter as a constant temptation & feel stronger every time I see it. Its a choice to say no, so to me its really important to have those temptations...or when thanksgiving comes I will go insane with all those smells.

Welcome to the forum! I say give the candy away, take it to work or give it to a neighbor with kids who will enjoy it. Best of luck on your weight loss journey!

Thanks for the welcomes!!

I think that I'm going to give the candy away as little Xmas presents to my neighbors, wrap them in pretty wrapping.

In the meantime, I will definitely keep resisting it.

Welcome! We're practically the same stats (I'm starting at 300, 5'7-8ish, 24 years old) and I just started as well. Let me know if you need a motivation buddy! And good luck on your journey!
