Sarah from the states <3

  • Hey everyone!
    I'm Sarah. I'm 20 years old living in the us.

    I started losing weight nearly 3 years ago. I tipped the scales around 230 LBS.
    My thin friend kept telling me to join the gym with her and i really didn't want to UNTIL I found out my ex-highschoo sweetheart (who is overweight himself) was taking a skinny, beautiful ballerina to prom. Something inside of me snapped and i've been losing weight ever since.

    From 230 i went down to 179 from june to december by regularly working out. Since then I've hovered between 185-179 for the last 2 years.

    Ironically I'm sorta back with my highschool sweetheart and he loves my new body but I'm still self conscious. He goes to university 10 hours (via car) away from our home, so my goal is to surprise him by losing 25-30 lbs by the time he comes home around christmas. I currently weight 174 Lbs. I'm hoping you all can help me out and keep me motivated!

  • Hey Sarah! I'm new here too, looking for inspiration and support as well. You've already lost a lot of weight, that just shows you that you're capable of great things if you set your mind to it! Make sure you get at least a little bit of exercise every chance you get, and drinking water instead of soda or other drinks is a great tip that definitely works. I have a written list of goals and reasons why I wanna lose weight, I look at it whenever I feel discouraged. Good luck and keep up the good work!
