Default Making the change right here, right now.

I’m not very good at introductions, so I’ll try to make this short and sweet. I’ve popped in and out of the forum before, just as I have popped in and out of dieting for awhile now - but I’m done slacking off so I’ve decided to make 3FC a full time form of support as I begin to lose the weight one last time.

So, my name is Tasha and I’m a full time college student, equestrian, and just another gal on a mission to shrink my inches. I’m 19 now, and at about 17 I lost a significant amount of weight bringing me down to 138lbs…I’ve now managed over the course of two years to gain all the weight back, plus 40 lbs - yikes. I was actually totally unaware I was above 200 lbs until a few minutes ago, and I’m truly in a state of shock. But hey, shocking yourself into making a change is sometimes necessary!

I want to lose weight because I want to go into my 20’s fit, healthy, and happy. I’ve battled my weight for so long now, and I’m ready to come out on the winning end of the war - not just the battle. I feel like I’m at a very special point in my life (college) and I want to experience it to the fullest potential, and in order to do that - the lbs gotta go! I’m tired of having to live my life being (literally) weighed down! So it starts now, and I hope to make some good friends and support systems at 3FC throughout the process. I feel like one of the reasons I had an impossible time and in the end failure during patience was due to my lack of networking with others who are dealing with weight issues. My friends are all so naturally thin and athletic, there just wasn’t anyone to relate too! But, I’m thinking 3FC will be the solution to that problem.

So back to calorie counting, back to learning to love working out, and back to controlling my own life.

Hi Tasha! We are in a very similar situation. I'm also 19 and a full time college student. I know how tough it can be to be in college and dieting, especially with time constraints, and people eating ramen, pizza, and everything that you're NOT supposed to eat.

We are so young! We should love this part of our life and be able to live it to the fullest!

Welcome back and good luck girl. I'm rootin' for you.

Thank you all for the warm introductions!

Soft Speaker - So true about the ramen! One of my biology professors today just made a comment that he assumed we (college students) all either "eat Ramen or an entire large pizza by yourself!". If only he knew the truth! Good luck to you as well.
