I am so sorry to hear of your losses and struggles recently. You sound like such a strong woman, and I sincerely hope that you follow through with your son's wish and hopes for you to get healthy and strong.

If you need any help getting your way around this board, do not hesitate to ask. Everyone here is very helpful.

God bless. (((HUGS)))

My heart aches for you. I can't possibly imagine what it must be like. Two family friends lost their teenage sons last year, one in a motorcycle accident, and the other was a soldier who was killed in an IED explosion. They're so strong. They have a network of caring friends and family to help get them through--hopefully we here at 3FC can be a comfort to you.

I wish you all the best on your healing journey. I am sorry for your loss, but you are really an inspiration to keep going despite hardship. I'm a firm believer that those we love never really leave us, so your positive role will not go unnoticed. All the best and looking forward to sharing experiences with you on 3FC.

I am so very sorry for the loss of your son. I have a two year old little boy and I can't even imagine what a nightmare losing a child would be. 3FC is a wonderful support system and we're glad to have you here.

hi there,
i am also new here and i can say that i also belong to the same mother's nightmare club you belong to. my son passed @ 28 from severe asthma attack. and getting that call sucks the air from your lungs. this happened in 2000. i can say that time has helped. i am now trying to lose the 30lbs i gained over the last ten years. i send you my prayers. also wish you success with your weight loss.

Your story broke my heart. No matter what you do, remember your son is always watching in his own way. With that said, you can only go up from here. Take weight loss one step at a time. Much luck to you.
