Feeling out of control.
I moved to Portugal 2 months ago from the USA and have been struggling with my eating every since I've been here. In the US I was living alone and mostly single so it was easy to control what food came into the house. Here in Portugal I am living with my boyfriend who has no food issues and can eat whatever he wants without gaining weight. He's always bringing carbs and sweets into the house. This might be good for me to finally learn self control but at the moment I have none. I find myself eating bread with every meal. Most meals are accompanied with rice and potatoes too. The worse is when he goes to bed I stay up to watch tv and overeat. Last night I kept toasting bread and putting butter on it and eating it. Then as soon as I took the last bite I would get up and toast more.
I'm feeling out of control. I wish I could simply not bring these foods into the house but that is unrealistic right now. He should be able to eat what he wants. I'm hoping that this website can give me the support I need and maybe some accountability fo my actions.
Right now it's 3:45pm and I have already had some toasted bread with butter for breakfast, some cheese and pineapple and a piece of left over chicken breast. not too crazy. I'm going to try and not eat until dinner time and during dinner I'm going to attempt to avoid the bread. Also tonight I want to NOT eat after my boyfriend goes to bed.
