Question, when I go to a forum do I just click new thread or what?

To answer your post I clicked on quote (in the lower right corner of your post). That brought up this screen and I just started typing what you are reading now. Click submit reply and it will post in this thread. Evidently you know how to start a thread as you started this one. You only need to start a new thread if you are starting a new topic.
