Default Here begins my journey.

In October I gave birth to my beautiful daughter, Peyton. Prior to being pregnant, I was uncomfortable with my weight, but I would give anything to be back there again. Now I am again struggling to find the motivation to lose the weight, but I need to do something. I joined the gym over a month ago and have yet to go.
I weighed 143 pounds prior to being pregnant and weighed 185 when I gave birth. I now weigh 165 and would like to get back to my pre-pregnancy weight and possibly lose a few more pound than that.
My plan is to watch what I eat and go to the gym 3-5 times a week, when possible. My activity of choice is swimming, so I would like to do that for about 45 minutes and maybe about 1 mile on the elliptical/treadmill.
I'm also contemplating doing Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred.
I would like and appreciated any support, advice, or just new friends to talk to.

Welcome to 3FC =)

Sounds like you've got a plan for added activity. What's keeping you from doing it? Don't wait until you feel like it. You may never feel like it, or only feel like doing it once a month. Schedule it into your day. And then go at the scheduled time. You won't regret going to the gym after.

When it comes to losing weight, your food plan is going to matter, too. Burning calories and being more active is great, but the food intake is important. You could work out every day of the week, but if you eat more than you burn you'll gain weight. So keep that in mind when watching what you eat!

Lastly, you can do this It's absolutely doable. Best of wishes!

Hi!

I know how difficult it can be to try and regain motivation, I'm trying to get back into my plan after 7 weeks off it and so I know how difficult it can be! Right now the best advice I can give you is to just try and do something and hopefully as it becomes a routine you may find you get your motiation back. Well this is what I've been told to try!

Hopefully we can both find the motivation we're looking for!
