I went to law school a year ago, and a month ago, dropped/failed out. I had many ups and downs, including a broken off engagement and failing grades. I went from 138 lbs to a whopping 174 in a matter of 8 months. Here are 2 pictures of me around the time I went off to school. I am 5'4".
I have managed to go down to 168 and stay there in the past two months, but anxiety, depression, moving back home, and not finding a job has not helped my eating habits and thus, have not been able to lose more weight. I am, however, trying very hard, and hope to lose 5 more pounds in the next month, god willing. Here is a very bad quality but current picture of me at my weight now. My entire goal weight is actually going to be 125.
Aw, I gained a lot in law school too. I graduated but have not passed a bar and don't practice. I hope that you can take some positive out of the things you did learn and put it behind you. Good luck with your goals.
School can be very tough, and there are a great many students around here that will concur that stress eating is REAL! I'm so sorry you're having a rough time of things right now.
Stick to your plans. You may have a lot going on, but you can still choose to eat healthier than you were, even if it's not healthiest.
Brown! thanks for your post. We are just about on the same page! except that you are doing much better than I am! we will bring sexy back together. I certainly hope sooner rather than later.
Still weighed 168 today, but i'm glad I didn't gain weight. I don't think I;ll be losing weight tomorrow. I just hope I didn't gain any. Its such a long road for me. I overate again today. I had a bagel sandiwch with egg and bacon this morning with a coffee from panera, which wouldn't have been so bad, except that for lunch I had an ice cream cone and a few fries, which also wouldnt have been equally as bad, except that for dinner, I had a full plate of gyro with pita bread, yogurt, tahini, tzasiki sauce, and a ginger ale.
i think you need to be a little easier on yourself. School, especially if it didn't follow your plan, can be really trying. Maybe research some solid programs and get some exercise in place? i'm sorry law school didn't work out, but maybe it just wasn't a good fit for you. -fm
thank you dear. it was hard, but just seeing the thinner girls doing just fine eating salads and getting better grades was very depressing. shouldnt have let it get to me.
