Post Could definately use the support

Hello!
New here. I moved to Romania back in November and its just me and my fiance and our dog. Needles to say I miss the support of women on my venture in dieting. Scott (my fiance) is a great support, but darn it! Sometimes I need and want a girl! I started my weight loss venture August of 2010. I started going to Curves and loved it there and everyone who went there. I learned so much and took that with me to Romania. I had a few months with no weight loss, then started slowly losing weight again. But with out a gym Im forced to work out at home.
i normally do intervals of arms, legs abs, then repeat. With 10-20 min of cardio on a stationary bike. It is not safe to go running outside so im stuck in the house. I was good at first doing 5 days a week, now Im lucky to get in 3 days.
Added to all of this we have been going on lots of vacations. Which we walk around constantly so I dont feel deprived of exercise. But more so cheating with food and alcohol. (we just got back from two trips to Italy, pizza pasta, wine) but We also did hiking trips. Anyway Im plateauing now and need some motivation or and ideas on ways to work out or not cheat when on vacation. Thanks everyone!

Hey there & Welcome to 3FC!

We'd love to help support you on your journey ^^

Sounds like you need to commit to the exercise, no matter what it is it's healthy to get in movement. I don't know where your exercise bike is, but if it's near a tv or something, you could even get on for one minute each time commercials come on. Or get on for one minute every time you pass by it. Just to get in extra movement.

Vacations can be hard when it comes to food. Indulging a little is fine, but it takes a good week or two when you get back home to really get back into the healthier food routine.

You can do it =)

Hope to see you around the boards!

Welcome, Swoody! I'm too new on the journey to give any advice. But glad you're here, and hope you find the support you're looking for.

I definately need to commit more! Just need to find the motivation. I ordered two size twelve (12) pants from VS that are waiting for me on my trip back to the US in July. So I MUST fit into them...lol! Any suggestions on quick slimming routines to try? Also, I should note at the moment Im working out either barefoot or in my reebok easytone flipflops, because after our hike up Mt.Etna, I washed my shoes and forgot to change the dryer settings and needless to say, I ruined them, so I also have to get new shoes in the states. So something low impact as far as that goes. Thanks for the support ladies!

Motivation and commitment are two separate beasts.

Motivation occurs emotionally. It comes and goes, waxes and wanes, just like all other emotions. It's lovely to enjoy it while it's around... but it is a fleeting mistress. Relying solely on motivation means we just wait until we feel like it. We might never feel like it. Or only feel like it once a month when we need to be doing something every day or every couple days.

Commitment is a promise. Commitment is beyond emotion. It's something we told ourselves we would do, and therefore we DO it no matter how we feel. It could be a gloomy awful day, and we might feel like doing nothing but vegging in front of the tv and snacking.... but if we committed to staying on our food plan, and walking on the treadmill for 20 minutes, then it doesn't matter how we feel. We DO what we COMMITTED to do.
