Getting Off the Pounds This Time!

  • I'm a SAHM of 2 boys. I'm tall so I've tricked myself into believing I'm not that heavy. Well, after looking at some home DVD's of myself, I got a huge wakeup call. I'm ready to stick with a plan to lose the weight. I think the easiest way will be for me to calorie count, and I'm going to record my foods on FatSecret. I'm also going to get into better exercise routines. I'm really going to make food more about health than a bad habit of overeating. I'll be checking in with some of the groups and challenges. I'm beginning today, and I'm sticking with it!

  • Don't you hate those wake up calls?? LOL! I was the same way, I didn't think I was *that* big until I took a 'before' picture of myself and was shocked....uggh....

    At least you have made the decision to change, that is the first step! And this place is awesome motivation.

    I am also a calorie counter and am finding it to be very successful. There's a lot of menu ideas on the calorie counters thread too!

  • Welcome to 3FC! I'm also a newbie (and a calorie counter) though I log my meals using an app on my phone. I find that if I cant do it immediately, I'm prone to forgetting.
