Default Maplebard

Hi,

Thought I would try this site for some support. I'm down in Huntsville, AL and pretty much do not do well on diets. I hate that hungry feeling and wondered what you all do to get rid of it. Water doesn't seem to work nor vegtables, although I must admit, I eat too quickly.

Thanks.

So don't diet...make a lifestyle change that you can deal with... and for the love of bananas, slow down when you eat!

Good luck on your journey...we all welcome you with open arms.

Hi there Maplebard!

No. More. Diets.

Slow, sustainable changes made over time. Ugh. Even the word "diet" carries that starving awful feeling of endless starts & re-starts.

No more!

Choose small things you can do today...this week... that you want to continue to do over time. Don't make it about the weight. Make it about being healthier. You'll see that permanent changes can add up and get you to where you want to be. =)

Hi Maplebard, welcome! This is the place to find help, motivation and positive people!
Look around the site, there are so many choices as to which style of diet fits you best!
-I calorie count that way I can have what I want and it doesn't feel like a diet! Just set a number of calories for the day and stick with it. You can slowly lower it until you don't feel as hungry. Just make sure to get up and move some too!
Glad you are here! Good luck on your decision and slow down and enjoy what your eating!
