Default Hello, From the New Girl

Hi everyone,

I'm not really sure how to go about all of this, so I'm going to ramble, of course . I'm 23, from New York, 5'4 (5'4.5 if we're being really specific), I work in administration at a college where I plan on getting a masters degree in something... although I'm not sure what.

I haven't weighed myself in a really long time, but I think I'm hovering around the 200 mark. I've been here, give or take 10 lbs for the majority of the last 7 years or so, and I'd really like to get down to somewhere between 140/150. I have a big frame.. I'm a solid girl, so I know I'm never going to look like a starlet or anything like that, but I'd love to look my personal best. My brother is built the same way I am, but he's a rigorous exerciser and is in great shape. He calls our body type "durable," we hold onto weight for ever, but we never tire.

I'd like to lose this weight by my birthday (11/11/11 ) but I know that it might not be that quick, and it definitely won't be easy.

I can probably go on for days, but I think this is enough information for now. Just want to say hello!

Hi, Hobbes! I was in the same boat you are. I had a shock last September when I stepped on the scale at the doctor's office and it read 205!! I was horrified. I'd naively thought myself maybe 170. Now I *wish* I was at 170.

Good luck and welcome to 3FC!

Welcome, I'm pretty new also, this place has been really motivating to stay on track! When I bought a new scale and saw it say 199 I nearly died. Never did I think I'd hit the 200 pound mark! Staying on track and WILL hit my goal and so can you!
